Navi Pillay is the former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights - this is the full transcript of her speech during “The Paris Agreement 5 years later”, the event organised by EUMANS and StopGlobalWarming.eu.

The deadline is the EUMANS Constituent Assembly to be held before June 2021.

On November 12th 2020 the Mayor of Frankfurt, Peter Feldmann, publicly endorsed the European Initiative StopGlobalWarming.eu for a carbon pricing in the EU. The Mayor joins the group of Municipalities and Regions who are taking a stand against climate change and committing to increase the knowledge of citizens of their rights to take part in EU politics through participatory democracy instruments. 

Making Participatory Democracy truly work is a challenge, and the Eumans know something about it. It is very much about information. The Right to Information is something that every and each citizen has, to be informed on their political rights and on what is happening in the public sphere. 

Mogens Lykketoft was the United Nations Assembly President of the Paris Agreement in 2015. He also served in Denmark as Ministry of Finance and Foreign Affairs. His endorsement for StopGlobalWarming.eu, the proposal for a carbon pricing policy in the European Union, and his invite to sign and get others to sign the official European Citizens Initiative is extremely important. As the world continues to struggle with the impact of the Covid 19 virus, it can be easy to forget the other impending doom humanity faces - the ever increasingly stark reality of a climate change hit planet. Nevertheless, while it is too late to prevent Covid, there is still time to avert the worst impacts of man-made global warming. 

Eumans as part of the initiative kicked off with the EU CAN DO IT Petition to the European Parliament for a European response to the COVID19 social, economic and health crisis, together with the coalition Citizens Take Over Europe, we activated
